Mercury Yacht Harbour occupies the site of the former TS Mercury nautical training school on the eastern side of the Hamble peninsula, overlooking the River Hamble. The marina provides pontoon berths, a boatyard with lifting and storage facilities, and marine service businesses. It is accessed via Satchell Lane and serves as a base for yacht owners and sailing clubs. The marina takes its name from the training school that operated on the site from 1892 to 1968, preparing boys for careers at sea. The location offers sheltered berthing on the river with easy access to the Solent via the river mouth. The boatyard is active throughout the year, with the spring refit season being the busiest period.
