Hamble Village Quay
Landmark, Hamble
The village quay at the southern end of the High Street is the historic waterfront of Hamble, where the village meets the River Hamble. The quay has been in use for centuries, originally serving the fishing and piloting trades and now used primarily for recreational boating. Small boats are moored along the river frontage, dinghies are stored on the hard, and the ferry to Warsash departs from nearby. The quay offers views down the river towards Southampton Water and is one of the most pleasant spots in the village. It is the starting point for walks along the riverfront and is well used by visitors and residents alike.
